Hey guys, just wanted to give you all an update of what's going on since a few weeks and what's still to come by the next days.

I'm currently in Spain, soon to visit Barcelona for the OFFF event this year, if you don't know it, it's about the digital art culture with established professionals and talents on the stage talking about their experience and work or other cool things!

OFFF Website

I also was part of 'The Digital Decade' a sponsored project of Depositphotos for Designcollector where you had to create an artwork using stocks supplied by Depositphotos (1-2) and create something revolved around the theme of a decade of digital art. Mainly celebrating 10 years of Designcollector's Online Network. Like they said: 'The idea is simple: artists are invited to use images from Depositphotos to produce graphic works of art related to the topic "the Digital Decade."'

The Digital Decade

I was shortlisted with around 29 other artists and given the opportunity to create something for it and later chosen by the Jury as the 8th place from 15 selected winners among many other cool people.

Not only I will appear along all other winners in the DCMAG n03 but I will also be exhibited on the OFFF event as part of the Designcollector
'The Digital Decade' exhibition.

That's not all by far! I was also chosen by SHOWUSYOURTYPE which have run a Special Edition Nr. 2 in collaboration with the OFFF event to be shown in a gallery on the event itself!

The Unknown Being invading deviantART

Journal Entry: Thu May 17, 2012, 2:59 AM
Yes, finally. After so many years the possibility to change your username once per six months with a premium membership, personally I think it's great because having to stick with the old, was terrible if you were going for a professional look.
I'm thankful for this option and hope you guys do not get confused with it too much.

Other news are, OFFF 2012 is happening in this very moment and I hope I can get someone to get hands on the event's book so I can show you pictures which of my pieces has made it in. I'm also going to do some more things soon, I'll be preparing a few designs for DBH and Threadless since I've always wanted to see a shirt with my work on it and I'm also going to do some other pretty cool things too...
Still a year full of work for me, I'm pretty happy about it because I improve a lot of things and all I can say is that there will be some exciting news soon!

That being said, have a wonderful Thursday and thanks for all of your support people.

The Unknown Work IV

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 22, 2011, 12:27 PM
Ladies and Gentlemen, the final time for TUW IV (The Unknown Work) has come. The fourth installment features unseen and experimental work once again.
That's it basically, the end of a long time(?) series shortly before the year turns with New Years Eve. What'll be in for us in 2012? We do not know (yet). But one for sure, we're ending with a great year to begin a new one.

That being said, enjoy.

'The Unknown Work IV' marks the last release of a series showing unseen and stylistically totally different work from 'The Unknown Being'. I've only collected the best gems that were left on my external and internal hard drives. I hope you like the new bunch, had lots of fun making each of these works.

In other news, I'll begin to start up some collaborations with artists of the likes like :iconfmacmanus:, :iconaiiven: and even :iconphildunne: (sooner perhaps). Totally looking forward to these and into the new year. Keep things rocking people, certainly will come back from my inactivity the past month(s).

The huge Behance project

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 9, 2011, 2:16 AM
If you ever were really curious about how I work or just wanted to take a look at some work I've done, yesterday I just published my Slashthree: Quote/Unquote // Portrait Series project. Which includes case studies/breakdown/animations in a whole.

It's far over 100 images I believe, so it can take a while until it's loaded, sorry for that. It's just huge.

I'm coming straight to the point, you can find it here:

www.behance.net/gallery/Slasht…

If you have questions or else, you can send me a message or drop a comment (others might have the same question!) would love to hear from you!

Surprise surprise

Journal Entry: Fri Sep 30, 2011, 6:07 AM
When I checked my e-mails I saw a deviantART one and was curious because I usually rarely receive anything (even updates) from dA. But I saw someone just gave me a full 1 year subscription and that person is the very kind and unexpected :iconlavoi: :iconlavoi: :iconlavoi: :iconlavoi: :iconlavoi: :iconlavoi: :iconlavoi:

I'm still not sure why or if it's just a mistake, haha. But I'm definitely thankful for this gift mate if you can read this. He's not only kind but also has some very good work, especially 3D stuff. Hope to see some Gallery update sometime from you dude!

-------------------

And to give everyone a little info what's on now, a few new things are coming up, others are planned. I mostly did answer e-mails the past days and drawed a lot because of my new school, which is quite awesome. That being said, my new work will be seperated, stuff before school and stuff from the 3 weeks I've been there now. Going to work a lot more with traditional media and cross everything with my current styles.
Next year will also be exciting and full of work. Likely will visit London, England around April or whenever and hope to see a lot of good things and improve my English by miles.

Without brabbling much more, pretty pretty stuffs coming up and I'm as excited as everyone is to release new work and share latest news.

4 works, been working on them for days, weeks, months. Also, this is a premiere, first EVER featured work on Slashthree, very happy how that special one turned out. Outstanding work from some people, totally got overwhelmed by some of the quality work 'round there. Really digging it. Hope you guys enjoy it and tell me what you think! :)

Now the copypasta:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Since New Era's release three months ago, the reception the slashTHREE staff and artists have received for this project has been mind-blowing. It was on show at OFFF 2011, as well as SIGGRAPH 2011 and on our very own online shop. We are proud to report that the "New Era" books have been completely sold out, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the overwhelming amount of support.

Today however, the collective proudly unveils its seventeenth exhibition, an exhibition in which the artists were asked to reflect on some of the literature that inspires them in their daily lives. Each piece in "Quote/Unquote" is based on a quote – famous, cultural, or even from the artist's own life – and is created to represent that quote and its meaning to the artist. The result is a library of 60 of the collective's finest and most personally meaningful works to date.

Just before the New Era project was launched, slashTHREE welcomed Tarin Yuangtrakul, a 19 year old artist from Thailand. Tarin's impact on the collective was instantaneous, and his two submissions to "Quote/Unquote" demonstrate the progress he has made as an artist since joining the collective, and showed true dedication to the exhibition. Tarin's sublime mixture of traditional and digital art was something new which captivated the entire artist core. Tarin Yuangtrakul has become not only the first traditional artist to be named as the "featured artist" for a slashTHREE exhibition, but also the youngest artist in slashTHREE's history to receive the honour. Site Director Saad Moosajee sat down with Tarin to discuss life and art; you can read the interview here.

There is a number of amazing things coming from SlashTHREE in the second half of 2011, so keep an eye on our
homepage, as well as our Facebook and Twitter accounts for announcements and updates! For now though, please feast your eyes on Exhibition 17: "Quote/Unquote".

Sincerely,
SlashTHREE Public Relations

So a little midget told me Slashthree will be releasing very very soon and got some awesome work for you people out there. I've got about 4-5 works in - I know I've always said they were different and they were, but this time it's a DAMN HUGE difference - of which all have a style which I've been only barely showing.

All in all I've been very satisfied and happy about these recent pieces, I think my thought of getting in something HUGE was a great one. I've never been that busy in my whole life with such things, very looking forward to my new school as well, I'm going to learn Graphic Design for about 3 years there and gain myself some fantastic knowledge. Of which one is drawing, wanted to learn that for like - forever, haha. Anyway, I hope you guys stay alerted and are excited what some of my friends and I got for you.

Partly, added a new work (collaboration with :iconsmiling-demon:) to the gallery. Hope you like, had fun making it yet it's stylistically far away from the upcoming stuff. Will reveal the other pieces soon enough, end of the year will be full with a shitload of new stuff.

Many of you have seen this, many of you have their work being ripped and maybe even sold. I wanted to put up a quick journal about it because I might've been ripped as well, still scrolling through these 551 pictures of work:
s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv…

If I got ripped and find out more about this prick, I'm going to sue the shit out of him and eradicate his existence, at least financially. I'm not only full of anger but of disrespect and want to give everyone involved in this fucking shit a damn kick to the fucking nuts.

The amount of stolen work and being sold is HUGE, he should be locked away, it's thievery after all. Spread the word and if your work is up on there, consider legal confrontation and put some hard law on these people/or single dumbass, what you prefer.

Share your thoughts.
